The pastor is an idiot. The flood myth has been debunked hundreds,- possibly thousands - of times over. Go to the Grand Canyon and look down! It's a cross section of the earth! For decades Christians cooked up every kind of nonsense "evidence" to attempt to prove their fairy tales. Atheists always came back with "You're the ones making extraordinary claims. Show some extraordinary evidence! Ok, at least show some kind of evidence!" and with reason, logic, and reality, the atheist won the argument. Now Christians do with this pastor does, claim that their fairy tales are self evident and it's on the atheists to present evidence of god not existing How do you provide evidence of nonexistence? All this does is further show the hypocrisy of theists. You're the ones who say we should be dedicating your lives to myths and fairy tales, you're th e ones trying to force your beliefs into legislation and onto other people, so it's up to you to prove that your fairy tales are reality. Which you can't.

Personally I don't believe in a magical, omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent being who lives in the sky guiding our actions (Gods plan) while absolving himself of blame (free will), but provided it encourages people to acts of good, I have no problem with the belief in others. The issue is when we persecute or slaughter each other because we can't agree on exactly how to express that belief (paraphrasing Monty Python).

Alright, then, pastor - if God, as you say, knows everything about us down to how many hairs are on our heads, why would he allow a cancer to form that he knew would form since before we were born? Religious people say they don't need to prove there is a God, but all 3000 religions say the same. What makes you think you are right? If you were born in the Middle east you'd be Muslim, you wouldn't find Christianity while surrounded by mosques Islam, and, oddly enough Muslims also believe they are right and that Christians are wrong.
